Three more medical colleges: Mamta
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is eager to deliver health services to the common people. Since coming to power, the government has taken various initiatives to ensure that people from all walks of life get affordable medical services. Fair price drug shops have been opened in hospitals. Several new hospitals have already been built to further advance health services.
A medical college has also been opened. Today in the assembly, the Chief Minister said that three more medical colleges will be built by government and private initiatives. Within the next year, 16,000 health centers will be built, 10,000 Asha workers will be appointed. He informed that vacant posts will be filled soon. He asked everyone to take initiative to stop the broker cycle in hospitals. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also gave a strict message about not harassing the patients on the health card.
