Virat’s 45th Masterclass in Lanka ends

Virat Kohli once again showed a batting masterclass as he celebrated his 45th ODI century in the first match against Sri Lanka. On the strength of this century, India set a target of 373 runs in 50 overs against Sri Lanka. Captain Rohit Sharma (83) and Shubman Gill (70) laid a solid foundation for the Indian innings by opening with 143 runs. Virat Kohli, who came next, scored 113 runs in 87 balls. Lanka could not cross the mountain of runs. They were defeated.
