Burmese wood recovered before being smuggled
The Forest Department of Bela Copa Range has recovered burmese wood worth crores of rupees before it was smuggled. After receiving information from secret sources, Belakopa Ranger Sanjay Dutt along with his team conducted a special operation in Pankauri area of Rajganj late on Thursday night. A truck and container were seized on suspicion. A search was then carried out and burmese wood worth crores of rupees was recovered. Two drivers were arrested. It is learned that an attempt was being made to smuggle Burmese wood from Assam to Kolkata
