Fire at a warehouse in Dharavi! A woman dies, a clothing store is burnt down

A clothing godown in Dharavi’s Ashok Mill compound caught fire around 12noon on Wednesday. The shop was gutted in the fire. Not only that but the elderly woman died after getting stuck in the bathroom. The fire brigade personnel worked tirelessly for three hours to bring the fire under control. The exact cause of the fire, however, is not known.
Ashok Mill Compound in Dharavi is a very verdant place and there is a two-storey building near Sai Hotel. There was a cloth godown on the ground floor of this building. The godown suddenly caught fire in the afternoon. The fire broke out in a few moments and created panic among the residents of the colony.
