Carrying his wife’s body on his shoulders, the husband’s pipe

Navrangpur: His wife died in a rickshaw while on her way home from the hospital. So the rickshaw puller refused to take away her body. So the husband took her body on his shoulders and walked towards his house in Odisha. After trekking a few kilometres, the police provided him with an ambulance on the way.
The husband’s name is Samulu Pangi. He had admitted his ailing wife to a hospital in Sangivalasa in Andhra Pradesh. However, she was not responding there. So the husband took her in a rickshaw, but she died on the way. As soon as the rickshaw puller noticed this, he refused to take the body away. So the husband took his wife’s body on his shoulders and walked on foot.
Similar was the case in 2016 when Dana Manjhi from Odisha carried his wife’s body on his shoulders and walked about 12 km. The situation had come to a head on him after the hospital refused to provide an ambulance to take his wife’s body home
