Thackeray MLA on hunger strike
Balapur MLA Nitin Deshmukh of the Thackeray faction has gone on a hunger strike to protest against the cancellation of water reservation. They have started the protest in front of the statue of Shivaji in Vidhan Bhavan. The then Thackeray government had brought a scheme to purify the salt water in his constituency. But the Shinde government suspended that plan. Deshmukh said that the people of the constituency are facing difficulties as the plan is incomplete.
