Mary Kom’s withdrawal from the World Boxing Championships

Six-time world champion female boxer Mary Kom has announced that she will not play in this year’s World Boxing Women’s Championship due to an injury. Mary, 40, who won a total of eight medals at the world championships, did not elaborate on the nature of the injury; But her trainer said she hopes for a speedy recovery.
The IBA World Championship tournament will be held this year from May 1 to 15 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Mary Kom said, ‘Due to injury I will not be able to participate in the IBA Women’s World Championship 2023. I am trying to get well soon. I hope we get more champions from this championship.
