Tavi Mumbai based socio-economic registered a Bengali language learning school with an aim to propagate the language. On 5th February this chari- table Bengali learning School was inaugurated at Kid’s Planet Playgroup and Nursery School, Sector 9, Airoli. Students will be taught Bengali on all Sundays & holidays between 3 pm to 5 pm. There are three qualified and experienced honorary teachers who will conduct classes.
On the first day on 5th February, 12 students took admission including homemakers who are interested to learn language and many are waiting for enrolment. Sukhendu Mandal, President of the Pratishthan shared, “Bongiyo Seva Pratishthan in association with ‘Brihaspati, first Bengali Newspaper in Mum- bai is running this Charitable school following the guidelines set by Brihaspati. There are no tuition fees, the students only need to pay a nominal amount (not more than Rs. 500.00 per annum per student) for study and exam materials, certificates etc .there is no age bar.”
Inviting the citizens he told, “We request citizens who wish to learn Bengali or wish to teach Bengali to their dear ones, please avail this golden opportunity”.
